And the walls came tumbling down...

Today was all about more demo. Hammers and Super Wonder Bars and crow bars and cat's claws (hey, how are my cats doing???) We took down the remaining drywall in the kitchen to expose all the brick.

The bathroom! Just about every wall came down. And the ceiling. As well as the old roof which was stored (discarded?) above the bathroom ceiling. We discovered that the two units below have some creative venting into Maddie and Vic's ceiling and/or wall. There were many more trips to the dumpster. Someone finally took the old kitchen cabinets, what a relief. We are glad someone could use them.

Pictures probably speak better than my words can at this point...

After demolition noise was shut down at 6pm sharp, we were a mess. After returning to Maddie and Vic's apartment to shower, we headed out for burritos (so good) and to a hardware store to pick up a few items. (Has anyone besides Gregg ever seen Tuck tape?) We get to sleep in tomorrow because noisy construction is prohibited on Sundays, although one neighbor said she'd be out after 1:15 pm so we can get some work in.

I'm very impressed I thought the only things our family was good at was arranging flowers and eating pie. You have made us all proud Sullivan's! Keep up the good work. When are you going to post pictures of the guest room? I want to see where I'll be staying in Cambridge when I visit, this place sounds better than a hotel.

It's been four days since your last post and we're starting to panic here in central New York.

I noticed an ominous looking white tube hanging over Maddie's head in one of those photos, and, having just seen War of The Worlds, I know exactly what that means. Tearing down walls is all fun and games until some one gets sucked through some alien's feeding tube like a mouthful of cranraspberry Capri Sun.

Also, this is the first time I've logged onto blogspot since starting my neglected blog back in November, and I'm noticing that everybody else has much cooler tags than my full name (and out of date, now that I'm officially married... which reminds me, I really need to stop by the Social Security office) tag line. Stay tuned for exciting developments in what I call myself on the worldwide web.
